1) Symposium "Cities and Climate Change", October 23

Nearly 190 participants, weather broadcasters from the whole world, Climate experts et professionals involved in sustainable development, attented the Symposium held at the Banque Populaire Headquarters (Paris).
Official opening has been made by Chantal Jouanno, State Secretary for Ecology and Jean Jouzel, IPCC member and president Société Météorologique de France

2) "Weather and the Media" Special Day, October 24
09:30 - "Speed Trading Workskop"
Several Societies dealing in weather broadcast products and services for TV channels presented their last technological innovations, but in an original form. The rules was the same as in a speed dating party. The companies welcomed a group of 15 international weather broadcasters and audiovisual managers. They each had 20 minutes to make a presentation of their know-how and products before another group arrives.

To the occasion of the World Exhibition of Shangaï in 2010 a Meteo Pavilion will be proposed by WMO and CMA. Stephen Rancourt who attended the Forum for the first time gave a presentation of this project to the participants.

3) "Green Ride" October 25 >> Photos
   
The aim of this symbolical action is to show that it is possible to go from a starting point "A" to a final point "B" using environment friendly and low in energy consumption means of transport.
Launched in Brussels at the end of the 5th IWF, this 2nd Green Ride ended the 6th edition gathering weather broadcasters from all over the world, politicians, such as Denis Baupin, Deputy-Mayor of Paris in charge of Environment and Philippe Goujon, Mayor of the 15th district. Participants left quai de Grenelle to ride untill Palais Brongniart where they discovered and exhibition titled "2nd Parisian Day of Energy and Climate".
